Oxnard contains approximately 66 miles of designated bikeways, including three miles of off-street bicycle paths, and 63 miles of bike lanes and routes. If water is your thing, Oxnard has plenty of it. Consider renting a kayak or electric boat to tour the Channel Islands Harbor. Breathtaking sunsets and the sights of the Pacific Ocean provide a local paradise.

There also are federal, state and county parks and beaches nearby, including the Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary, Santa Monica National Recreation Area, McGrath State Beach and Point Mugu State Beach

Oxnard embraces its rich history and diverse culture, and has an exciting arts and entertainment scene. Highlights include the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District, Oxnard Performing Arts and Convention Center, the Plaza Entertainment and Arts District, Elite Theatre Company, Mullin Automotive Museum and Channel Islands Maritime Museum. Carnegie Art Museum is the only fine arts museum in Ventura County and offers workshops, lectures, tours and artist events.
Nestled in historic downtown Oxnard, Heritage Square offers unique, quaint oasis with delightful gardens and fountains. Set in original historic homes, there are more than 25 businesses including a restaurant, coffee shop, winery, speakeasy and a visitor’s center/gift shop.
Residents and visitors turn up in droves to Oxnard’s annual festivals and events, which include the California Strawberry Festival, Dallas Cowboys Training Camp, Fourth of July at Channel Islands Harbor, the Oxnard Salsa Festival and the Holiday Boat Parade of Lights.
