Infrastructure

Oxnard’s infrastructure is constantly evolving to service the needs of a growing community. US 101, a major north/south transportation corridor, is the lead pathway of commercial truck lines, contract carriers, and non-commercial vehicles. The Port of Hueneme is the only deep water port between Los Angles and the San Francisco Bay area. The Port facilitates the importation of thousands of vehicles and tons of produce each year.

South Coast Area Transit (SCAT), a major resource for public transportation, provides service within Oxnard and its surrounding communities. United Express provides air service with daily departures and arrivals at the 216-acre Oxnard Airport, as well as charter services throughout the area by Aspen Helicopters. The Oxnard Transportation Terminal is a spacious and modern rail station that offers passenger service to commuters through Amtrak and Southern California’s Metrolink system.

Southern California Edison, Verizon, Pacific Bell, Southern California Gas Company and Time Warner Cable provide reliable utility services for the residents and businesses in Oxnard.
