InfrastructureOxnard’s infrastructure is
constantly evolving to service the needs of a growing community. US 101,
a major north/south transportation corridor, is the lead pathway of
commercial truck lines, contract carriers, and non-commercial vehicles.
The Port of Hueneme is the only deep water port between Los Angles and
the San Francisco Bay area. The Port facilitates the importation of
thousands of vehicles and tons of produce each year.
South Coast Area Transit (SCAT), a major resource for
public transportation, provides service within Oxnard and its
surrounding communities. United Express provides air service with daily
departures and arrivals at the 216-acre Oxnard Airport, as well as
charter services throughout the area by Aspen Helicopters. The Oxnard
Transportation Terminal is a spacious and modern rail station that
offers passenger service to commuters through Amtrak and Southern
California’s Metrolink system.
Southern California Edison, Verizon, Pacific Bell,
Southern California Gas Company and Time Warner Cable provide reliable utility
services for the residents and businesses in Oxnard.
