Oxnard Chamber of Commerce Committees

Land Use Committee
Mission: To educate Chamber members and the business community on
overall land use issues and to guide the Chamber board on related
matters.
Chair: Nancy Kierstyn Schreiner
Meets: 2nd Wednesday, 12:00 p.m.
Government Relations Committee
Mission: Carries out an advocacy program on behalf of the Chamber
membership and business community within the governmental and political
arenas and fosters an effective working relationship.
Chair: Kathy Leahy
Meets: 2nd Monday, 12:00 p.m.
Public Policy Committee
Mission: Made up of a small group of Chamber Directors, the committee
collects information and feedback from the membership and meets with
City management.
Co-Chairs: Tom Cady & Rudy Gonzales
Meets: As needed/quarterly
Water Committee
Mission: To monitor water sources, capacities, qualities and delivery
systems that meet economic demands and residential growth.
Chair: William Seaver
Meets: 2nd Monday, 1:30 p.m.
Military Affairs Committee
Mission: Works with our local military installations to foster a
relationship between the business community and Armed Forces.
Chair: Florence LaManno
Meets: 1st Thursday, 8:30 a.m.
Greater Oxnard Political Action Committee - GOPAC
Mission: To review, research and recommend support of and/or
opposition to proposed ballot measures and legislation, ordinances and
other actions of local, county and state governmental bodies. It is also
the responsibility of this Committee to seek out, evaluate
qualifications of and endorse those candidates who are running for
public office at the local, county and state level.

Meets: As needed
Host Committee
Mission: Acts as welcoming arm of the Chamber; promotes member
involvement with programs and events. Host Committee members also
oversee the ROC Groups.
Chair: Theresa Dominguez
Meets: 1st Tuesday, 7:30 a.m.
